Installing into IDE

You must uninstall any previous TApolloTable (or TApolloDataSet) from Delphi or C++Builder before installing the new Apollo VCL. You should remove the package file from the Installed Components list and also remove the old package directory from the Library Path line in the "Tools | Environment Options" dialog (under the Library Tab).

1.Run the Embarcadero IDE (e.g. Delphi 10.3 = D10.3 Rio)

2.File | Open and browse to the corresponding Borland IDE sub-directory under
C:\Apollo\9.9\x86\VCL\[IDE]
or
C:\Apollo\9.9\x64\VCL\[IDE]

3.Open the 2 package files: Apollo9D103.dpk and Apollo9D103d.dpk
(Note: "d" = design-time package).

4.From the Project Manager, right-click on the Apollo9D103.DPK package, compile

5.From the Project Manager, right-click on the Apollo9D103d.DPK design-time package, compile and install

6.The Embarcadero IDE will have added the Apollo components to the Toolbar Palette under the "Apollo" tab. This will be the last tab listed if it is the first time you are installing Apollo.

7.Finally, manually add "C:\Apollo\9.9\x86\VCL\D10.3 and/or C:\Apollo\9.9\x64\VCL\D10.3" to the Library Path (64-bit and/or 32-bit) here as follows:
 
 
Delphi
Tools > Options... > Language > Delphi > | Library | Windows 64-bit
Tools > Options... > Language > Delphi > | Library | Windows 32-bit
 
C++Builder
Tools > Options... > Language > Delphi > | Paths and Directories | Windows 64-bit
Tools > Options... > Language > Delphi > | Paths and Directories | Windows 32-bit

Tools > Environment Options > Library
 

Installing Apollo into CodeGear Delphi and C++Builder 2010, 2009, 2007, 2006, 2005


[CodeGear IDE] = one of the following:

32-bit

D2010=Delphi 2010, D2009=Delphi 2009, D2007=Delphi 2007, D2006=Delphi 2006, D2005=Delphi 2005

CB2010=C++Builder 2010, CB2009=C++Builder 2009, CB2007=C++Builder 2007, CB2006=C++Builder 2006, CB2005=C++Builder 2005

1.Run the CodeGear IDE (e.g. Delphi 2010 = D2010)

2.File | Open and browse to the corresponding CodeGear IDE sub-directory under
C:\Apollo\9.9\x86\VCL\[CodeGear IDE]

3.Open the 2 package files: Apollo9D2010.dpk and Apollo9D2010d.dpk
(Note: "d" = design-time package).

4.From the Project Manager, right-click on the Apollo9D2010.DPK package, compile

5.From the Project Manager, right-click on the Apollo9D2010d.DPK design-time package, compile and install

6.The CodeGear IDE will have added the Apollo components to the Toolbar Palette under the "Apollo" tab

7.Finally, manually add "C:\Apollo\9.9\x86\VCL\D2010 to the Library Path here:
Tools | Environment Options | Library

Installing Apollo into Borland Delphi and C++Builder 7,6,5


[Borland IDE] = one of the following:

32-bit

D7=Delphi 7, D6=Delphi 6, D5=Delphi 5

CB7=C++Builder 7, CB6=C++Builder 6, CB5=C++Builder 5

1.Run the Borland IDE (e.g. Delphi 7 = D7)

2.File | Open and browse to the corresponding Borland IDE sub-directory under
C:\Apollo\9.9\x86\VCL\[Borland IDE]

3.Open the 2 package files: Apollo9D7.dpk and Apollo9D7d.dpk
(Note: "d" = design-time package).

4.Compile Apollo9D7.dpk package

5.Compile and install Apollo9D7d.dpk design-time package

6.The Borland IDE will have added the Apollo components to the Toolbar Palette under the "Apollo" tab

7.Finally, manually add "C:\Apollo\9.9\x86\VCL\D7 to the Library Path here:
Tools | Environment Options | Library
